A pet hate of mine is poor ettiquette. If you know anything about me, this is probably it. I don't mean using a shrimp fork for pudding, either.

Throughout the years I have observed that we, as a society, respect each other less and less. I'm not talking about respecting one another in the morning - that's your own concern.

No doubt a majority of this is due to our fabulous celebrity role models. How often have you seen someone tripping the silver screen's petite, blonde actress to simply watch her parcels fly out of her hand and into someone else's lap? Funny for a moment, but leaving their mark on our culture.

No, I don't support censorship, and slapstick comedy, used sparingly, can be incredibly effective. I think, however, that the film making business has a responsibility to show the consequences of these actions as they relate to real life situtions. No one wants to be in that situation, so why put another there? Comedic value isn't enough to ascribe virtue to these actions.

I realise that the data here probably skews based on the type of people reading this (thanks for being honest, mum) and that it's therefore not an accurate depiction of the relevant demographics. If the general population were honest about this, I think we would all be apalled by the result.
